LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Western Michigan softball team set a new program record, with 14 student-athletes recognized for their academic excellence by earning 2021-22 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.
To qualify for this distinction, student-athletes must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher throughout the 2021-22 academic year.
Western Michigan's 14 honorees include:
Rissa Bajusz: 3.98 GPA, Pre-Early Childhood Professional Education
Darcy Barkauskas: 3.67 GPA, Exercise Science
Mikayla Barnard: 3.50 GPA, Physical & Health Education Teacher: K-12
Cassidy Brendtke: 3.81 GPA, Health/Human Services
Logan Carter: 3.54 GPA, Early Childhood Professional Education
Courtney Farrish: 3.82 GPA, Integrated Supply Management
Reily Galloway: 3.55 GPA, Accountancy
Taylor Garey: 3.78 GPA, University Curriculum
Autumn Godwin: 3.79 GPA, Exercise Science
Maggie Kehoe: 3.79 GPA, Integrated Supply Management
Alyssa Kramer: 3.77 GPA, Biomedical Sciences

WMU posted an overall team GPA of 3.56 for the 2021-22 academic year, which was tied for 41st among all NCAA Division I softball programs. Harvard, where new Western Michigan head coach
Jenny Rohn was an assistant coach last season, took down the top spot in Division I with a 3.76 team GPA. Dayton, where new Bronco assistant coach
Marlee Wilson spent the 2022 campaign, was 10th in Division I with a 3.654 GPA.
