KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team wraps up its non-conference schedule this Saturday, traveling to No. 63 Wisconsin for a 1 p.m. ET first serve.
OVER THE HUMP
WMU heads into Saturday's match after earning its first win away from home this season, a 4-3 victory against Wichita State at Drake University last Saturday. The Broncos have had a tough non-conference road schedule this season, playing at No. 17 Michigan, as well as the ITA Kickoff Weekend against Memphis and Old Dominion at the University of Tennessee.
Western Michigan has taken care of business at home so far this season, posting a 3-0 record.
LOOKING FOR TWO
Western Michigan has one dual match win against a Big Ten opponent this season, beating Michigan State at home, 6-1, back on Feb. 5. The Broncos have not had two dual-match wins over Big Ten opponents since the 2017-18 season when they took down Iowa and Michigan State.
SCOUTING THE BADGERS
Wisconsin is 5-5 in dual matches this season and is coming off a West Coast road split last weekend with a win over No. 42 Oregon and a loss at Washington. Tim Dzhurinskiy leads the team in dual-match wins with a 7-2 record, going 5-1 at No. 5 and 2-1 at No. 6. Jared Pratt has played all 10 matches at No. 1, posting a 3-7 record. The duo of Robin Parts and Jared Pratt have the best doubles record in dual play, going 5-3. The team is 2-2 at No. 1 and 3-1 at No. 2.
