Softball Travels To NIU For Four Games

Teams will open series with a doubleheader on Friday, April 9

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan softball team returns to Mid-American Conference play with a four-game series at Northern Illinois set for Friday, April 9-Sunday, April 11.

Due to expected inclement weather in the DeKalb, Illinois, area on Saturday, the teams have altered the original schedule. The Broncos and Huskies will open with a doubleheader on Friday, April 9, starting at 4 p.m. ET/3 p.m. CT. The sides will then attempt to play Saturday, April 10, at Noon ET/11 a.m. CT, while concluding the series on Sunday, April 11, at 1 p.m. ET/Noon CT. If Saturday's weather prevents the teams from playing, Sunday's game will become a doubleheader.
