The Lumberjacks scored in the top of the first then added a pair in the second. Bailey Richards' one-out double started the rally before Amanda Carden doubled to left center to put runners on second and third. After Madi Nguyen fouled out, Bryana Novegil delivered a two-out single to right to make it 3-0. Camryn Middlebrook grounded out to end the inning.

A two-out rally allowed SFA extended the lead in the fourth. Carden's one-out single started the rally before Nguyen flied out for out number two. Carden stole second before scoring on a single by Novegil. Novefil moved up to third on a Bronco error before Middlebrook singled her home to make it 5-0. Shaylon Govan lined out to cap the frame.

Bottom 7th | SFA 6, WMU 2
The Bronco rally fell short in the seventh. Kaylen Glenfield started things with a double down the left field line before she was scored on a single up the middle by Ehlers. After an SFA pitching change, Cassidy Brendtke kept the pressure on with a single to right, moving Ehlers up to second. Farrish then doubled to center, scoring Ehlers and putting Brendtke on third. Unfortunately, the Broncos would get no closer as three straight strikeouts brought the rally to a close.
