BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Western Michigan women's tennis was defeated at Campbell by a 4-3 final score on Monday afternoon.
The Lady Camels jumped out to a 1-0 advantage over the Broncos by taking both doubles contests that finished on the court.
Freshman
Lindsey Zieglar tied the match at 1-1 following a straight set victory over Lou Regen in #3 singles. She improved to 10-2 in singles on the year with the result. SophomoreÂ
Kaitlyn Rogosch put her team ahead with a three set win against Alexandra Nicoara (6-4, 1-6, 6-3). Junior
Valerie Riegraf increased the WMU advantage to two points after extending her singles winning streak to seven matches.Â
Campbell prevailed in the final three singles matches to secure the 4-3 victory.
The Broncos will close out their Tar Heel State road trip with a non-conference match against North Carolina Central tomorrow at 1 p.m.
