Stefanick relieved Kurth in the pitcher's circle in the bottom half of the fourth and recorded four scoreless innings while added her team-leading 10th home run of the season in the sixth inning to give WMU a 2-0 lead.

Maggie Kehoe pinch ran in the seventh and came around to score after an Emma Nuyen double and a Jenna Faultersack RBI groundout to grant the visitors a three-run cushion. Stefanick and the Broncos then shut the door in the bottom half, striking out the final Purdue Fort Wayne batter while escaping a bases-loaded jam.
