DEKALB, Ill. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team improved to 5-0 in the Mid-American Conference after a 6-1 win at Northern Illinois University Friday afternoon. 

The win stands as the second of the season over the Huskies while WMU improves to 13-7 overall.

Western Michigan and NIU traded wins at courts one and two in doubles prior to Haupt and Schnobel winning 7-6 (5) at the No. 3 spot to put the Broncos up 1-0. 

WMU won five of six singles matches while Nouchi earned the match-clinching point with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Spolidorio at court six.

Western Michigan returns home on Sunday, March 31 to host its final two non-conference matches of the season versus Dayton and Indianapolis. The first match versus the Fleyrs is scheduled to get underway at 10 a.m., followed by the UIndy match at 2:30 p.m.
