MUNCIE, Ind. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team opened Mid-American Conference play with a 5-2 victory at Ball State Friday afternoon.Â
The win stands as the fourth consecutive MAC opening victory for WMU as its overall record moves to 9-7 on the season.Â
WMU clinched the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. After a 6-3 win from the Broncos' No. 2 doubles pair of juniors

In singles play, Western Michigan clinched the match win on court five. Leading 3-0 after wins from Opitz and Schnobel,
Peter Kuszynski defeated Conner Anderson 6-2, 6-2 to put WMU up 4-0, sealing the win.Â
