HOUSTON, Texas - The Western Michigan men's tennis team concluded its Texas trip with a 4-0 loss at Rice University on Monday, Jan. 28, dropping its record to 2-4 on the season.Â
For the third consecutive match, the Broncos took one of its three doubles matches, conceding the doubles point versus the undefeated Owls.
Lenhard Haupt and
Jannik Opitz defeated Mohamed Abdel-Aziz/Conrad Russell 6-4 at the No. 2 spot while Rice earned wins at No. 1 and No. 3.Â
The home team won at the 3, 2, and 5 singles spots to seal the win. Opitz, Svjetlicic, and Schnobel's matches went unfinished.Â
