GAME ONE
Western Michigan defeated American Athletic Conference opponent UCF 6-3 in the early game as all six runs occurred in the bottom of the third. With a 2-0 lead, Sobeski delivered a punch to the Knights with a straight shot over center field for a grand slam as the Broncos took a 6-0 advantage. The home run was Sobeski's first of her career. UCF mounted a comeback in the top half of four with three runs off two hits and a Bronco error but starting pitcher
Sydney Stefanick and the rest of the WMU defense played tough, not allowing a single hit the remainder of the contest.
Â
Stefanick pitched her second complete game of her collegiate career to pick up her second win of the season. The Johnstown, Ohio native allowed just three hits for three runs to go along with a strikeout to hand the Knights their ninth loss of the season.
GAME TWO
Villanova took the early 2-0 lead in the bottom half of the first in Saturday's night cap at the Eddie C. Moore Complex but the Brown & Gold added three runs in the third and fourth to take a 6-2 lead and never look back. The Wildcats did however pull within one in the bottom of the fourth but another six-run inning by the Broncos, this time in the sixth, boosted WMU to their seventh straight victory.

Senior pitcher
Anissa Sanchez took the win in the circle and is now 4-3 overall after throwing 4.0 innings, allowing six hits that accounted for five runs. Junior relief pitcher
