KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Senior Allyson Kus earned her second Mid-American Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week honor this season.

Kus picked up wins in both appearances this past week, throwing complete-game victories on the road at rival Central Michigan (7-2) and at home against Miami (3-1). She allowed just two earned runs over 14.0 innings pitched for a 1.00 ERA and struck out 11 batters combined. Opposing hitters had a .157 batting average against.

Against Central Michigan on April 5, Kus gave up just four hits and fanned six batters. Against Miami on April 9, she did not allow an earned run and held the RedHawks to just one hit through four innings.

Kus has a 4-0 record over her last four starts and now has a 10-9 record with a 2.64 ERA on the year. She has thrown 12 complete games.

Western Michigan (15-17 overall, 6-3 MAC) has two home games this week, hosting Detroit at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 and Central Michigan on Wednesday, April 13, at 2 p.m. The Broncos are at Northern Illinois for a three-game series this weekend.
