Sarah Thomas joins the Western Michigan softball coaching staff as a student assistant coach in 2011.  For the past three seasons, Thomas served as the Broncos' catcher.  She started every game of the 2009 and 2010 seasons, a total of 86 games started during that span.

Thomas played in a career total of 153 games, making 132 starts.  She had career highs offensively in at bats, runs scored and hits as a senior.  Defensively, she had a career fielding percentage of .992, including a perfect season defensively as a freshman in 2007.
