BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – After shooting a 36-hole total of 142 (-2), senior Anna Wilcoxson takes a one stroke lead into the final round of the IU Invitational at the Indiana University Golf Course on Saturday.

The Broncos sit in second place after a two-round total of 598 (+22) and are 10 strokes behind the host Hoosiers, WMU sits ahead of MAC rivals Toledo, Eastern Michigan, Akron and Ball State.

"We implemented what we have been working on in practice very well in competition today," said head coach Elise Swartout-Mosher. "The golf course is in great shape and sets up well for us. The team looked comfortable out there and we are looking forward to tomorrow's round."

Wilcoxson finished the day ranked second in the tournament in pars with 26 and led the field in par four scoring at -1. She also recorded six birdies on the day while shooting a 72 and a 70. Fellow senior Kaitlyn Watkins sits tied for fifth after shooting a 149 (+5) after an opening round of 73 and a 76 in the second round. Watkins currently ranks second in the field in birdies after finishing the day with eight. She also is tied for third in par five scoring at -2.

Freshman Jasmine Chee finished the day tied for ninth after shooting back-to-back 75's for 150 (+6). Junior Julia Champion opened the tournament with an 80 but dropped three strokes in her second round and sits tied for 25th at 157 (+13). Claire Hernandez also improved in her second round, shooting an 80 after opening the day with an 81.
