KALAMAZOO -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team looks to build on its two-match winning streak when it hosts Marquette and No. 37 DePaul at West Hills Athletic Club this weekend. The Golden Eagles (5-2) come to town on Friday at 1 p.m. and the Blue Demons (5-1) on Sunday at 2 p.m. Admission is free to West Hills and live scoring is available on WMUBroncos.com.
The Broncos dropped a 4-3 decision in Milwaukee last season to Marquette and fell in a tightly-contested match in Kalamazoo to DePaul, 5-2. The Broncos are 10-5 all-time against DePaul and 17-6 vs. Marquette.
Freshman Maggie Remynse leads the Broncos with 10 singles wins, while freshman Jill Pastunink is 5-1 in dual matches and sophomore Rachel Denny is 4-0.
The Broncos have also started strong in doubles with a 17-4 mark in duals, led by Pastunink and Dudzik at No. 1 (4-1) and Matsuto and sophomore April Kerr at No. 2 (4-1).
