Billy Cosh was named the WMU Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach, being tabbed to lead the offense by head coach Lance Taylor for the 2023 season.

Cosh spent four seasons in FCS as an offensive coordinator, most recently with Richmond. He spent one season with the Spiders, averaging 424.1 yards per game during the 2022 season. Richmond advanced to the second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs.

Cosh also spent two seasons as the offensive coordinator at VMI after serving as the quarterbacks and wide receivers’ coach prior to that. Under his leadership, the Cadets’ offensive ranked in the top 20 in scoring offense and passing efficiency.

He earned a degree from Houston, where he played quarterback for two seasons after leading Butler Community College to a NJCCA National Championship in 2012.

He is the son of Chris Cosh, a long-time college football coach who serves as a senior analyst on WMU’s staff. Cosh and his wife Kelsey reside in Kalamazoo.
