East Troy, Wisconsin
  • Graduate of Wisconsin-LaCrosse who joined Western Michigan physical educational staff in 1963. Retired as associate professor in 1990.
  • Had 15 winning seasons over 18 years of basketball coaching. Her teams compiled a record of 186-133 and won three state ALAW titles and were second three other times.
  • Started varsity softball programs in 1976 and had 10-year record of 270-116-1.
  • Her 1980 and 1981 teams were fourth and ninth respectively in national AIAW play and 1982 squad was fifth at inaugural NCAA College World Series.
  • Inducted into Mid-American Conference Hall of Fame (1992).

  • WMU’s all-time leading scorer with 82 career points; also set record for most goals in a career with 34
  • Recorded 14 career assists and had seven game-winning goals
  • Named First Team All-MAC and Academic All-MAC in both years of eligibility, 1993 and 1994 (MAC did not carry soccer as a sport until 1993)
  • Second Team All-Great Lakes Region Selection in 1992
  • Third Team All-Great Lakes Region Selection in 1994
  • Earned NSCAA Academic All-Region honors in 1992
  • Named to MAC All-Tournament Team in 1994
  • Named to Kwik Goal Classic All-Tournament Team in 1994
  • Voted WMU Outstanding Marketing Scholar Athlete in Senior Year
  • Voted WMU Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year in 1994-95

Don Edwards

  • Second-team All-American pitcher in 1951.
  • Had two-year record of 11-4 and 2.20 earned run average as Bronco won two Mid-American titles and appeared in two NCAA tournaments.
  • Pitched five years in Philadelphia Phillies system and started baseball program at California-Riverside (1956).
  • Served two-years as Bronco assistant before returning to Riverside for 10 years as coach and 16 as physical education department chairman.
  • Secretary of U.S. Olympic Baseball Committee (1973-76), assistant coach and business manager of 1978 U.S. Pan-American Games team, and a 10-year member of NCAA Baseball Committee.

  • Cross country All-American in 1957 and 1958 with respective tenth and third place NCAA Championship finalist.
  • Winner of 1958 Mid-American and Central Collegiate Conference harrier titles.
  • MAC two-mile (1959) and mile (1958, 1960) winner and set mile record (4:14.2).
  • Member of six Mid-American championship teams.
  • Partner in Manatee County, Florida, insurance agency and was charier member of Aeina Corporation Millionaire Club.
