CLEVELAND –  After registering a .667 batting average over the weekend at Eastern Michigan, redshirt junior Andrew Stone has been named Mid-American Conference Baseball Co-Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Stone with a .667 batting average, .733 slugging percentage and .667 on-base percentage helped Western Michigan baseball earn its fourth straight MAC series victory over EMU. Stone was 10-for-15 with three runs scored, one double and three RBIs.

In Friday's contest at EMU, Stone went a perfect 5-for-5 from the plate and was one hit shy of tying the school record of most hits in a game. In the 6-4 victory on Friday, the Portage, Mich., native also scored one run and had one RBI.

On Sunday, Stone went 4-for-6 with two RBIs and two runs scored to help the Broncos clinch the series. The two-RBI performance matched his career-high. This season, Stone has recorded six multi-hit games and two multi-RBI games and is currently riding a team-high four-game hitting streak.

Despite not having a sacrifice hit all weekend, Stone still ranks 34^th in the NCAA in sacrifice bunts (9) and 22^nd in sacrifice bunts per game (0.26). In 2018, Stone is one of three WMU players to have a batting average of .300, hitting .307 with nine RBIs and one double. The redshirt junior leads WMU in walks (22) and on-base percentage (.427).
