KALAMAZOO, Mich. – With four matches remaining in the regular season, the Western Michigan women's tennis team remains on the road with two Mid-American Conference matches this weekend. The Broncos, who look to snap their mini losing skid, travel to Ball State on Friday, April 13 and Toledo on Sunday, April 15. Both matches will begin at 1 p.m. with the Toledo contest streamed live on ESPN3.

The Brown & Gold are currently sitting in sixth in the MAC with a 11-9 overall record and a 2-2 record in league play. Reigning conference regular season champions Ball State, holds an 8-9 overall record and a 0-4 record in the league while Toledo is 13-5 overall and 3-2 in the MAC.
Junior Melina Lyubomirova has the most wins with a 13-6 dual match record and is currently on a seven-match win streak. Junior Katja Fevralev has a four-match win streak which is the second longest win streak on the team.
In doubles, the pair of Fevralev and Lyubomirova leads WMU with five wins which have all come at the No. 1. The duo of Azcui and freshman Jeryn Jack also have five wins that came from the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. As a team the Broncos are 29-27 overall in doubles matches in the dual match season.
WMU wraps up the regular season with home matches against Miami on Friday, April 20 at and Bowling Green on Sunday, April 22 starting at 1:00 P.M. Weather permitting the matches will take place either inside at West Hills Athletic Club or outside at Sorensen Courts. Admission to all home tennis matches is free.
