CLEVELAND, OHIO – Western Michigan men's tennis doubles duo of sophomores
Kennosuke Nouchi and
Jannik Opitz have been named the Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week. The conference honor is the first for the pair this season and the eighth conference weekly nod for the team.

Nouchi and Opitz defeated Ball State's Guzina, N./Rigney 6-1 at the one to help the Broncos remain the only unbeaten team in the MAC. The pair are second on the team in total victories as they hold a 10-4 record with the longest active winning streak as well at three matches. When playing at No. 1, the sophomores lead the team with a 4-1 record and are 8-2 in their last 10 matches together. With the help of Opitz and Nouchi, the Broncos ended their home season at a perfect 11-0.

Maik Steiner,
Matej Svjetlicic and
Eric Olivarez to earn a weekly honor by the league.
With their sixth straight victory in their review mirror, the Broncos prepare for two conference matches this weekend at Binghamton on Friday, April 13 followed by Buffalo on Sunday, April 15. WMU needs just two more victories to claim the MAC regular season title.
