The Broncos, who hold a 17-4 overall record and a 4-0 league record, sit on top of the conference standings and ride their longest winning streak of the season of six matches into Friday's contest. With just three matches remaining until the MAC Tournament, the Brown & Gold need just two more victories to clinch the regular season title. Last weekend, WMU defeated Ball State 7-0 on Senior Day to conclude its home season going a perfect 11-0 this season.

The Bearcats have yet to win a league contest and are 3-15 on the season while the Bulls sit in third overall in the MAC with a 10-8 overall record. UB looks to avenge this year's earlier matchup back on March 17 as the Broncos defeated Buffalo 5-2.

Senior Maik Steiner continues to be the No. 1 player for the Broncos and is riding a five-match winning streak, coming in at 25-9 overall and 12-5 in dual-match play. Junior Matej Svjetlicic leads all players with a 26-7 overall record and an impressive 19-2 record this spring while sophomore Jannik Opitz has been the prominent player at three for the Broncos with a 7-2 record in that spot and is 25-9 overall.

Junior doubles partners Eric Olivarez and Nick Schnobel continue to lead WMU in doubles this season as the pair are 16-7 overall and 10-4 this spring. The MAC Doubles Team of the Week of sophomores Kennosuke Nouchi and Opitz follow with a 9-3 overall record with an impressive 4-1 record at No. 1.

Western Michigan concludes the regular season at Toledo on Saturday, April 21 to face the Rockets for the second time this season. The Broncos won the first meeting back on March 16, defeating UT 6-1 in the MAC opener in Toledo, Ohio.
