Svjetlicic pushed his match winning streak to five, going 2-0 with two straight set victories at No. 5 last weekend. Svjetlicic is now 5-1 at No. 5 singles after defeating Alp Sentay of Penn State 6-2, 6-4 and Princeton's Payton Holden with a score of 6-4, 7-5. The Croatian is now leading the team in overall wins at 21-6 overall and is 14-1 in dual-match play.

The MAC recognition is the fifth consecutive week for the Broncos men's tennis team as WMU swept the awards last time with Lenhaurd Haupt garnering singles player of the week while Eric Olivarez and Nick Schnobel took home doubles team of the week. Senior Maik Steiner has also been tabbed singles player of the week twice so far while Jannik Opitz garnered the award back on Jan. 24.

Western Michigan set its eyes on MAC play next, traveling to Toledo, Ohio to face Toledo on March 16 and Buffalo in Toledo on March, 17.
