COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Michigan hockey's Wade Allison and Dawson DiPietro have earned named All-National Collegiate Hockey Conference Honorable Mention, as voted upon by the league's head coaches and released by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.
Allison, a sophomore forward, helped the Broncos off to a hot start, scoring 10 goals and six assists for 16 points in 12 conference games before suffering a season-ending goal. His 10 goals tied for sixth-most in the league, despite playing in just the 12 games.
DiPietro, who appeared in one non-conference game last season, finished tied for seventh in the NCHC with 25 points in 24 games, nine goals and 15 assists. The sophomore forward's 15 assists were tied for fourth-most among NCHC forwards.
The Broncos are back in action this weekend in the NCHC Quarterfinals. WMU travels to Minnesota-Duluth to take on the Bulldogs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (if necessary). All games will be at 8:07 p.m. and can be watched live on NCHC.tv.
