The senior continues to lead the Broncos this season at No. 1 as he picked up his third straight win on Friday, March 23 against Northern Illinois' Kristopher Ortega (6-0 6-2), who is also the reigning MAC Player of the Week, improving his record overall to 23-9 and 10-5 in dual-match play. With the help of Steiner, the Broncos are now 16-4 overall, 10-0 at home and lead the league at 3-0.

Steiner has earned the weekly MAC honor three times this season as the German won it back-to-back weeks back on Feb. 21 & Feb. 14. As a team, Western Michigan has now earned conference weekly honors seven times this spring, the most of any MAC men's tennis program.

Western Michigan enjoys the weekend off before hitting the courts again on April 7 at 2 p.m. as the Broncos host Ball State for a MAC clash on senior day.
