Box Score KENT, Ohio- The Western Michigan softball team had a season-high 17 hits in a 12-1, six-inning victory over Kent State Sunday. WMU scored in every inning but the first. With the win, the Broncos improved their record to 14-13 overall and 1-2 in the Mid-American Conference.
Freshman
Sydney Stefanick went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored, and drove in a pair of runs. She hit her first career home run with a solo blast to left field in the sixth. Stefanick also picked up the win in the pitcher's circle, striking out four and allowing just one run over six innings.
Freshman
Samantha Coffel went 3-for-3 with two doubles and drove in three with a bases-clearing double in the sixth.

Jenna Faultersack and
Aspen Williams each had two hits apiece. Wilson had a walk, an RBI single and an RBI double. Williams had an RBI single and hit a solo home run in the fourth inning. It was her team-leading seventh home run of the season.
The Broncos travel to Michigan State on Tuesday, March 27 for a 4 p.m. matchup against the Spartans. WMU heads to Bowling Green for a three-game MAC series Friday and Saturday.
