Broncos Finish Non-conference Schedule Strong

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan women's tennis team (9-7) wrapped up nonconference play with a dominate victory over Bradley 7-0 this afternoon inside West Hills Athletic Club. With the win the Broncos improved to 9-7 overall 7-1 at home this season.

In doubles, the Broncos were able to secure the doubles point quickly as the Braves were unable to have a third doubles team. The duo of junior Melina Lyubomirova and redshirt senior Barbare Eristavi took the victory 6-1 at No. 1.
 
The match on two went unfinished, with the team of junior Katja Fevralev and sophomore Gabriela Slavova up 4-2.
 
WMU continued its success to the singles matches as the Brown & Gold did not lose a set during the match. At No. 1 Eristavi won 6-0, 6-4, and will ride a seven-match win streak into conference season. Lyubomirova, Azcui and Fevralev all improved their dual match records to 9-6 with victories over their Bradley opponents. In singles, the Braves were also unable to have a player at five and six.
 
WMU begins Mid-American Conference play next weekend with two home matches against Northern Illinois on Friday,
March 30 at 1:00 p.m. and Eastern Michigan on Sunday, April 1 at 1:00 p.m. Admission to all home tennis matches is free.
