Freshman Stacie Harrison was crowned outright MAC Champion on the uneven bars, becoming the first Bronco since Cherisse Marier in 2006 to win the event, after she tied a program record 9.925. Last season, Jessie Peszek tied for the title with a 9.900. Harrison also finished with a career-best 39.100 all-around that placed her in fifth amongst all gymnasts.

Junior Rachael Underwood finished seventh in the all-around with a 38.850 going four-for-four with her highest score coming on the vault (9.800) for seventh. Freshman Morgan Spence finished her outstanding freshman campaign scoring in the all-around (38.225) and taking tenth place. Following the championships, Spence was honored as the MAC Freshman of the Year. The honor was the first for the Broncos since Kelsey Hood in 2015.

The best event as a team for WMU occurred in its fourth event on bars with a 48.975, tying for second with Northern Illinois, led by Harrison. In her final event as a Bronco, senior Jessica Juncaj posted a season-high 9.850 to take sixth overall. Underwood took third on the team and 22nd overall with a 9.750 to help Western Michigan

Western Michigan started the day off on the balance beam, what has been one of its worst events of the season but the Broncos tallied a 48.750 which ended up tying for second-best on the day. Juncaj scored a team-high 9.825 to lead WMU and take 14th while Spence delivered a 9.775.

In its third event and fifth rotation, Underwood led WMU to a 48.750 vault with Harrison and freshman Sarah Shirley following behind posting 9.750 each. The floor (48.300) ended up being the lowest score of the day for the Brown & Gold as both Harrison and Kelsey Hood led the way with 9.700's.

The Broncos will now await to find out if any individuals will qualify for NCAA Regionals on Monday, March 26. All announcements will be made at wmubroncos.com
