KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team defeated the Huskies of Northern Illinois 6-1 on Friday afternoon inside the West Hills Athletic Club, improving to 14-4 on the season, 8-0 at home and 3-0 in the Mid-American Conference.

Western Michigan got hot right out of the gate winning the doubles point as both

Eric Olivarez picked up victories. Â The Broncos then rallied off five of the six singles matches as Steiner,
Jannik Opitz,
Kennosuke Nouchi, Haupt, and
Matej Svjetlicic tallied wins.
The doubles pair of Schnobel and Olivarez move to 15-6 on the season and 3-2 in the number three spot. Svjetlicic improved his overall record to 24-6 and extended his match win streak to eight while Opitz also pushed his win streak to five.
The Broncos will play next on Wednesday, April 7 when they host Wayne State and Illinois-Chicago. First serves are scheduled for 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Weather permitting, the Broncos will either play indoors or out on the Sorensen Courts.
