KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team snapped its three-match losing streak on Thursday evening with a 7-0 sweep over the Warriors of Wayne State inside West Hills. With the victory, the Broncos improve to 8-7 overall and 6-1 at home.

Jeryn Jack picked up their third win together at the three position as the pair defeated Kuznetsova / Da-Silva easily, 6-1. In their first match together this spring, junior
Katja Fevralev and sophomore
Gabriela Slavova clinched the point for the Broncos with a 6-2 victory.
Western Michigan came hot out of the gates in singles as Fevralev earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4 while Lyubomirova won 6-1, 6-2 at two. Jack became the match clincher with a win at No. 6, defeating Brianna Douglas 6-4, 6-1 to pick up her fifth dual-match victory.
Redshirt senior
Barbare Eristavi pushed her winning streak to six with a win at No. 1 to give WMU a 5-0 lead while Slavova and Azcui picked up wins to conclude the night. Azcui delivered an impressive comeback after falling in the first set at No. 3, improving to 8-6 this spring.
Western Michigan concludes its nonconference season on Saturday, March 24, hosting Bradley at 1 p.m. Depending on weather, the match will either be played indoors at the West Hills Athletic Club or out on the Sorensen Courts.
