Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan heads into conference play with an overall record of 9-9 and is seeking its third straight MAC opening series victory. WMU leads the all-time series over Toledo, 103-63 and is 6-6 against the Rockets since 2014.
Looking Ahead
After the weekend with the Rockets, Western Michigan hits the road for a midweek match-up against Michigan State on Wednesday, March 28. WMU returns home for a three-game series against preseason MAC favorite Kent State, April 30 - May 1.

The Freshman is Streaking

Blake Dunn has been consistent at the plate over the past week, recording a five-game hitting streak. Dunn has also reached base safely in eight straight games.
Racking Up the Strikeouts
As a pitching staff this season, WMU has totaled 143 strikeouts with senior LHP
Jacob Piechota leading the way with 31. As a staff the Broncos have recorded six double digit strikeout games.

Last season the Broncos dropped two of three to the Rockets on the road.

Scouting Toledo
Toledo heads into the weekend with an overall record of 4-13 and has lost five of the last six contests. Last weekend the Rockets dropped two of three at Cincinnati, winning Saturday's contests, 13-7.
The Rockets are led by Matt Hansen who leads the team in batting average (.358), hits (24) and doubles (6). UT's home run power comes from the bat of Ross Adolph who is tied for the league lead in home runs with six.
