KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan women's tennis team (7-7) concludes its nonconference schedule, hosting Wayne State on Thursday, March 22 at 6:00 p.m. followed by Bradley on Saturday, March 24 for a 1:00 p.m. start.

Thursday's contest will be played inside the West Hills Athletic Club while Saturday's match will be dependent on weather. Admission to all home tennis matches is free.
The Brown & Gold look to snap their three-match losing skid after falling for the first time at home this season to Illinois-Chicago 4-3 last Thursday. Junior
Melina Lyubomirova snapped her two-match losing streak with a straight set win at No. 1 while
Denise Azcui and
Barbare Eristavi also picked up wins for the Broncos.
The Warriors enter the contest on an impressive 14-5 record but recently dropped a match against No. 13 Saint Leo 9-0 on Monday, March 12 while Bradley rides an eight-match losing streak into Saturday and is 3-10 overall.
Lyubomirova continues to lead Western Michigan at the one this spring and enters Thursday with a 10-11 overall record and a 7-6 dual-match record. Riding a five-match win streak is Eristavi while Azcui and
Gabriela Slavova hold the team-high 11 total wins.
The duo of
Katja Fevralev and Lyubomirova lead WMU in doubles with four wins together this spring and are 4-5 at No. 1. The pair look to get back on track after falling to the Flames' Sanders/Colic 6-4 last time out.
The Broncos, who were picked to finish fourth in the leagues' Preseason Coaches' Poll, begin Mid-American Conference play Friday, March 30 hosting Northern Illinois before welcoming Eastern Michigan on Sunday, April 1. Weather permitting, the matches will be played either inside West Hills or out at the Sorensen Courts.
