KALAMAZOO, Mich.-- The Mid-American Conference has rescheduled the men's basketball game between Western Michigan University and Central Michigan University for Saturday, March 3.
With the lockdown on the CMU campus still in effect following Friday morning's shooting, the game will take place at Riepma Arena on the campus of Northwood University (Midland, Mich.) at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday, March 3.
The game will be closed to the public, with the exception of family members that have been identified on each institution's team lists. Due to the change in venue, the game will not be streamed on ESPN3. Radio coverage on the Bronco Radio Network will begin at 10:30 a.m.
WMU Athletic Director
Kathy Beauregard praised her CMU colleagues for their grace and patience in a stressful situation and supported the decision they made. "This has been a day of incredible sadness and stress on the CMU campus," she noted.
"We made the decision early on that we would work closely with our colleagues and follow their lead in deciding whether to go ahead with the game. We want to help and support them in any way possible."
