YPSILANTI, Mich. ā In its final regular season dual meet at Eastern Michigan on Friday evening, the Western Michigan gymnastics team fell to the Eagles with a final score of 195.375 ā 192.725. The Broncos now set their eyes on the Mid-American Conference Championships in Mount Pleasant, Mich. on Saturday, March 24.

Rachael Underwood continued to lead the Broncos this season, winning two events on the vault and on the floor but took third in the all-around with a 38.525. Freshman
Morgan Spence claimed second amongst the all-arounders delivering a 38.825.
The Broncos got off to a slow start on the uneven bars, delivering their second lowest team score this season on the event. Senior
Jessica Juncaj led the way with a 9.775 tying for second overall while bar specialist sophomore
Amelia Mohler recorded just a 9.000 and was unable to score for WMU. Freshman
Stacie Harrison followed Juncaj with a 9.750, good for fourth overall.
Underwood followed her season best vault from last meet and delivered a 9.825 for the Broncos, claiming the event. As a team, the Brown & Gold had a team score of 48.375. Freshmen Spence and
Sarah Shirley each had a 9.725 to finish tied for fifth.
Following its best floor routine of the season, WMU posted a 48.975 to tie with the Eagles. Underwood once again led Western Michigan with a 9.850 to win her second event of the meet while Harrison and Spence each scored 9.800, respectively to finish tied in fifth.
In the fourth and final rotation Harrison led the Broncos with a career-best 9.800 on the beam and tie with EMU's Lacey Rubin for third. Juncaj finished second for WMU with a 9.700 to help WMU post a 47.475 team score. Ā
Up next for Western Michigan is the 2018 MAC Championships that are set to take place at Central Michigan on Saturday, March 24.
