KALAMAZOO, Mich. – While anticipating WNIT announcements, the Western Michigan women's basketball team held its annual end of the season banquet Sunday afternoon at Cityscape Events Center. Head coach
Shane Clipfell and the rest of the team announced the team award winners along with honoring WMU's all-time winningest class in program history in

Team MVP
Breanna Mobley / Junior / Lansing, Mich. / Lansing Waverly
Mobley was named to the All-MAC Honorable Mention team following the conclusion of the regular-season. She finished the season averaging 16.3 points and 8.3 rebounds while shooting 55.6 percent from the floor. She finished fifth in the MAC in rebounds and ninth in scoring all while also ranked fourth in the league in field goal percentage, eighth in blocked shots and second in offensive rebounds. She collected 11 double-doubles this season and notched her 30
th career double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds in a victory over Bowling Green in the first round of the MAC Tournament. The junior is currently fifth on WMU's career rebounding list with 808 and with one season left could become the second player in program history to collect 1,000 career points and 1,000 rebounds. Mobley was also awarded the second annual Boosters Choice Award.
Defensive Player of the Year
Deja Wimby / Junior / Fort Wayne, Ind. / Snider
Wimby was named the team's Defensive Player of the year for the second straight season after leading the team in steals (2.2) and being tasked with guarding the opposing team's best guard all year. Wimby finished the seventh overall in the league in steals and also averaged 11.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists. The Fort Wayne, Ind. native nearly recorded the program's first triple-double on multiple occasions, with the closest coming at Akron where she had 13 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.
Sixth Player of the Year
LaTondra Brooks / Senior / Oak Lawn, Ill. / Oak Lawn
For the fourth consecutive year Brooks was honored as the team's Sixth Player of the Year. Brooks played in 31 games and made six starts throughout the year, averaging 2.1 points and 1.1 rebounds. She had a season-high nine points against Central Michigan and a career-high seven steals at Loyola, which is tied for seventh highest in WMU's individual game record books.

Jordan Walker / Freshman / Muskegon, Mich. / Mona Shores
In her first year with the Broncos Walker played in 33 games with 23 starts, averaging 7.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.6 steals. Jordan was second on the team in total assists (66) and total steals (53) and made an appearance on SportsCenter's Top-10 Plays of the Week with an impressive move against Toledo. The Muskegon, Mich. native made a team-high 41 three-pointers this season, shooting 32 percent from the arc. In the first round of the Mid-American Conference Walker hit the record books after pouring in a career-high 32 points, which also was the most points in a game this season by any Bronco player against Bowling Green.
Nina Farkic / Freshman / Kitchener, Ontario / Cameron Heights
The first Canadian under head coach
Shane Clipfell appeared in 26 games, making two starts, and averaged 2.1 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists. Farkic scored a career-high nine points against Central Michigan, grabbed a career-high six rebounds at Buffalo and her five assists against Goshen was a career-high.
