The Broncos' 196.075 tied for the second highest team score in school history and WMU's 49.150 event total on the uneven bars was fourth best in program history. The Broncos had the top individual finisher in each event and led start to finish in the meet.

Junior Rachael Underwood set a new school record in the all-around with a 39.350. She established the previous mark of 39.325 last year at the MAC Championships. Underwood took first on the vault (9.850), sixth on the bars (9.775), fifth on beam (9.800) and won the floor exercise with a 9.925. Her vault tied a career high and her floor performance set a new personal best. The floor score tied for second highest in school history and she was just the third ever Bronco to record the score, joining Christy Sassic and Laura Ransing.

In her only event, sophomore Amelia Mohler won the uneven bars and tied the WMU school record with a 9.925. She became just the fourth Bronco ever to accomplish the feat, joining Andrea Ruhe, former MAC champion Cherisse Marier and Jessie Peszek. Mohler's previous career high was a 9.900, recorded earlier this season at Central Michigan.

The Broncos had four of the top five scores on the bars. Kelsey Hood and Stacie Harrison tied for runner-up with a 9.825 and Jessica Juncaj tied for fourth with a 9.800.

Senior Kira Hoy won the balance beam with a career-high 9.900, which also tied for third best in program history. Juncaj tied for second with a 9.825. Hoy and Juncaj tied for third on the floor, each flashing a 9.800.

The Broncos' other team event totals were 48.925 on vault, 48.925 on bars and 49.075 on floor.

Western Michigan returns to University Arena on Tuesday, March 13 to host UIC at 6 p.m. The Broncos head to Eastern Michigan on Friday, March 16 for the last MAC dual of the season at 6 p.m. The 2018 MAC Championships are scheduled for Saturday, March 24, in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
