KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan men's soccer team announced its spring schedule for 2018 with six matches, which will include four home matches.

The Broncos will kick-off their spring schedule on Saturday, February 24 with a doubleheader inside the Seelye Center beginning at 3 p.m. against Spring Arbor and continuing at 6:30 p.m. against Davenport.

WMU will continue their spring season on Friday, March 16 at 6:00 p.m. versus Northwood at Waldo Stadium. Then warping up their home matches the Broncos will host Detroit Mercy on Friday, March 23 at 6:00 p.m. at Waldo Stadium.

Western Michigan we have two away matches to finish out its spring season. On Saturday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m. WMU will face Oakland in Pontiac, Michigan. The last match of the spring will be against Detroit City FC, a semi-professional team, on Saturday April 14 in Detroit.

The Broncos finished a historic 2017 with a 17-4-1 record and an appearance in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. WMU won its first ever regular season Mid-American Conference championship. Drew Shepherd were named men's soccer All-Americans. The Broncos finished the season ranked No. 9 in the United Soccer Coaches poll, WMU was ranked as high as No. 4 in the poll this season. Â
The fantastic 2017 season kept rolling for the Broncos program with
Brandon Bye and
Drew Shepherd being selected in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft. Bye was selected eighth overall to the New England Revolution and Shepherd was selected 46
th overall to Toronto FC.
