THE TIPOFF
Western Michigan is hosting Eastern Michigan in the final regular season home game of 2017-18. The Broncos head to Northern Illinois Saturday for the regular season finale. The 2018 Mid-American Conference Tournament begins with first round games at campus sites on Monday, March 5. WMU is looking to break out of a four-game losing streak and clinch one of the four home seeds for a first round tournament game.

SENIOR SEND OFF
Western Michigan will be honoring the five seniors on Wednesday: LaTondra Brooks, Aneisha Carlisle, Marley Hill, Alexis Parks and Najee Smith. This group of seniors have racked up 70 career wins, one shy of becoming the winningest class in program history. Both the 1978 and 1981 seniors recorded 70 wins as well.

SERIES HISTORY
After starting the all-time series during the 1976-77 season, Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan will be meeting for the 92nd time on Wednesday evening. The Broncos trail in the all-time series, 44-47. Western Michigan however leads the series in Kalamazoo, 24-18, and has taken three of the last four meetings at University Arena. EMU won the first matchup between the two earlier this year in Ypsilanti, 69-67, in overtime. Junior Breanna Mobley led WMU with 21 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. Danielle Minott had 29 points and seven rebounds for the Eagles and Emoni Jackson posted a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. EMU outrebounded WMU, 53-38.

BRONCO TIES TO EMU
WMU head coach Shane Clipfell was an assistant coach at EMU for nine seasons (1998-2007) and served as the acting head coach for most of 2006-07 when then-head coach Suzy Merchant was on maternity leave. Eastern Michigan had a 160-103 record while Clipfell was on staff.

LEADING THE CHARGE
Junior Breanna Mobley is averaging 15.9 ppg and 8.4 rpg, both of which lead Western Michigan and rank in the top 10 in their respective categories in the MAC. Fellow junior Deja Wimby is also scoring in double figures with 11.5 ppg and leads WMU with 144 assists and 58 steals. She is also chipping in 4.7 rpg. Senior Marley Hill is averaging 9.9 ppg, 4.5 rpg and has a team-high 22 blocks.

EAGLES SCOUTING REPORT
The Eagles, who are coached by Fred Castro in his second year, come in at 10-17 overall and 6-10 in the MAC, holding the No. 7 ranked scoring offense (69.4) and the No. 10 scoring defense (70.8). EMU has lost its last three games, most recently this past weekend, falling at home to Northern Illinois, 85-74. The Eagles have three players average in double figures scoring, Danielle Minott (16.4), Courtnie Lewis (14.8) and Sasha Dailey (13.2). Emoni Jackson leads the team in rebounds (6.2) while Dailey is the team-leader in steals with 59 this season.
