KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The No. 31-ranked Western Michigan men's tennis team picked up two wins at home on Sunday at West Hills Athletic Club. The Broncos defeated both Dayton (5-2) and Ferris State (6-1) to remain perfect home this season at 7-0.

Eric Olivarez and Opitz/Nouchi in the doubles.The Brown and Gold didn't look back in singles play with wins from Opitz,
Lenhard Haupt,
Matej Svjetlicic, and
Eric Olivarez.
In the second match of the day, Western Michigan took down the Ferris State Bulldogs 6-1. The Broncos started off hot in the doubles point with wins coming from the duos of
Maik Steiner/Haupt and
Kennosuke Nouchi/Opitz before taking five of the six singles points with
Zac Faveri picking up his first win of the season for the Brown and Gold.
The two time reigning Mid-American singles player of week and No. 88-ranked Steiner saw his winning streak come to an end against Dayton in the morning set and drops to 20-7 on the season.
Olivarez won his match against Dayton in the morning and extends his winning streak to 5 and is 9-1 overall on the season while junior Schnobel is now riding a 7-match win streak after defeating his Bulldog opponent.
The Broncos will head to Happy Valley next Friday, March 2 to take on the Penn State Nittany Lions. The Brown & Gold have a 2-1 record against Big Ten opponents this year.
