KALAMAZOO, Mich. – After being forced to cancel last weekend's matches due to weather and travel conditions in the Midwest, the Western Michigan women's tennis team returns to the courts on Sunday, Feb. 18, hosting the Golden Eagles of Marquette at 11 a.m. inside the West Hills Athletic Club. Admission to all home tennis matches is free.

Last time out, the Broncos swept their doubleheader against IUPUI and Hillsdale College on Saturday, Feb. 3 to improve to 4-4 this season and 3-0 at home while the Golden Eagles hold a 2-3 record entering Sunday's matchup with wins over Green Bay and Illinois-Chicago.
Junior
Melina Lyubomirova has played all but three of her matches at No. 1 for the Broncos this spring and is coming in at 7-9 overall, 4-4 in dual matches and 3-2 at the one spot. Riding a three-match win streak is junior teammate
Denise Azcui and holds a 4-4 spring record highlighted by a perfect 3-0 record at No. 2. Sophomore
Gabriela Slavova is the only Bronco to own a winning record this spring at 4-2 and is riding a two-match win streak and is 7-3 in her last 10 appearances.
In doubles, the duo of
Barbare Eristavi and
Valeria Riegraf started off 2-0 together this season with two big wins last time out. The pair earned a 6-9 win over IUPUI at No. 3 before defeating Hillsdale Colelge's duo 6-4 at No. 1 to clinch the doubles point. Two other doubles partners hold a pair of wins this spring in Azcui/

Western Michigan will take a break before returning to action over Spring Break, travelling to south to Florida. The Broncos will face South Florida on Sunday, March 4 in Tampa before facing Florida Gulf Coast on Monday, March 5 in Fort Myers.
