KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan track and field team continues its run though Big 10 country, heading to the Jack Johnson Classic at the University of Minnesota on Friday and Saturday.

The rest of the action takes place on Saturday morning and afternoon, beginning with the weight throw at 11 a.m. WMU will compete in the weight throw, shot put, 5,000m run, 3,000m run, 60m hurdles, 60m dash, mile run, 200m dash, 400m dash, 800m run, 600m dash and the 4x400m relay.
WMU has a strong history at the Jack Johnson Classic, including a record-breaking 600m dash performance back in 2016. Ayiana Gaines broke the program record with a time of 1:32.98. At last season's meet, Madison Meredith ran the third-fastest 60m dash time in school history at 7.59 seconds.
