CLEVELAND, Ohio – Western Michigan gymnast Amelia Mohler was named the Mid-American Conference specialist of the week the league announced tuesday.

On Saturday, Jan. 20 at Central Michigan, the sophomore scored the highest score of the day for the Broncos on the uneven bars with a career-best 9.900, good for a first place tie, in her collegiate debut. As a team, WMU scored 48.825 on the event which helped the team deliver arguably one of its best meets in program history this early on in the season with a 195.425.

The Broncos return home this Sunday, Jan. 28, hosting Bowling Green inside University Arena at 1 p.m. The meet will also be aired on ESPN3.
