FOUR STRAIGHT
The Broncos are riding a four-game win streak, the second longest active streak in the conference, after defeating Bowling Green in their Mid-American Conference opener on Saturday, Dec. 30. Western Michigan has now won six of its last seven contests with four of those wins coming by double digits. The winning streak is the longest of the season, as the team is chasing another victory heading into Buffalo on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
 
INSIDE THE STRETCH
During the seven-game stretch, the team has outscored opponents by a margin of 23.0 points and outrebounded opponents by 9.9 a game. Junior Breanna Mobley has led the way for the Broncos during the stretch, scoring 16.6 points per game while junior teammate Deja Wimby is at 10.5 and redshirt senior Marley Hill has scored 10.3. As a team, WMU has a higher field goal percentage, three-point percentage, free-throw percentage, and assist-turnover ratio and averages more blocks and steals per game than their opponents in the last seven games.
 
LAST TIME OUT
After trailing Bowling Green by 11 heading into the fourth quarter, Western Michigan scored 28 points in the final ten minutes as the Broncos defeated the Falcons 67-58 in its Mid-American Conference opener. Junior guard Deja Wimby scored 12 of her game-high and season-high 18 points in the fourth to lead WMU while also grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out three assists. The Brown and Gold shot 37.5 percent in the first half and 36.1 percent for the game. Bowling Green shot a staggering 54.5 percent in the first stanza before going cold in the second, hitting just seven field goals of its 25 attempts.
 
MOBLEY ON A MISSION
Junior forward Breanna Mobley has been a double-double threat each and every game since sporting the Brown and Gold uniform. The Lansing, Mich., native has recorded 25 double-doubles in 60 career starts, including six coming this season. Last game out against Bowling Green, Mobley finished with a game-high 13 rebounds including seven coming on the offensive glass. She also added 13 points with five coming from the charity stripe. Mobley has also scored in double-figures six of the last seven games and grabbed 10+ rebounds in five of the last six games. She currently is ranked eighth in the MAC with 15.8 points per game and her 8.8 rebounds per game is good for fourth in the conference.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
After Wednesday's contest, the Broncos remain on the road at Kent State (Jan. 6) before returning to University Arena for their next conference home games. WMU welcomes Northern Illinois on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. and Ohio on Saturday Jan. 13 at 2 p.m.

THE MATCHUP
The Broncos and the Bulls first met in 1999, with this being the 23rd meeting between the two and the series tied at 11 apiece. The Broncos own a 7-3 home record but are 4-6 went playing at Alumni Arena. The Bulls took the only meeting last season in Kalamazoo, 62-47.

BULLS SCOUTING REPORT
Buffalo, who is coached by sixth year head coach Felisha Legette-Jack, enters the game 10-2 overall and 1-0 in the MAC, coming off an away win to Akron. The Bulls are 3-0 at home and own the second highest RPI (43rd) in the MAC behind Ball State while also being ranked No. 9 in the latest College Insider Mid-Major Top-25 Poll. The team is led by senior Cassie Oursler who scores 13.6 ppg to go along with 18 blocks on the season while sophomore forward Summer Hemphill leads the team with 5.7 rebounds per game.
