Hockey Moves Up to. No. 11

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey team moved up one spot in both the US College Hockey Online and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls to 11th after splitting with National Collegiate Hockey Conference leaders St. Cloud State over the weekend.

The Broncos beat the then No. 2-ranked Huskies 7-5 and fell 4-3, moving up to a tie for third place in the NCHC. WMU has been a fixture in the national rankings this season and have spent the last eight polls in the top 15.

Western Michigan welcomes Colorado College this weekend, returning to Lawson Ice Arena for the first time since Dec. 9. Friday's game has been pushed to a 6:30 p.m. start time and will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network.
