KALAMAZOO, Mich.-
College Soccer News and United Soccer Coaches released their updated rankings and have ranked Western Michigan men's soccer team No. 18 (CSN Poll) and No. 24. (USC Poll) respectively.
This is the first time since Sept. 15, 2015 that WMU has been ranked inside the top-25. WMU has tied its highest ranking ever as a program at No. 18.
The National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) has WMU holding strong at the third position in the Great Lakes region for the second straight week.

The Broncos are off to a great start to their 2017 season with an undefeated 5-0-1 record. Last week the Broncos upset No. 15 Butler on the road 3-2. On top of that the Broncos also tallied wins against Cincinnati and Drake.
Western Michigan is outshooting its opponents 116-37 and are averaging 2.5 goals per game both of which are leading the Mid-American Conference. Senior midfielder
Brandon Bye is leading the MAC in points with 12 off of four goals and four assists. Redshirt senior goalkeeper
Drew Shepherd is third in the MAC with three shutouts.
Western Michigan travels to Oakland tomorrow for a mid-week matchup starting at 7 p.m. The Broncos will return to the WMU Soccer Complex Sunday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. to host Dayton as apart of Alumni Weekend. Admission to all home WMU soccer games is free.
