KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Western Michigan University softball will hold a mandatory meeting for those interested in trying out for the 2017-18 season. All required forms and documents must be completed prior to the tryout. Those interested should note a typical practice block will run from 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. MWF and 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. TTH. If asked to join the team players must be cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center. To try out for a Western Michigan varsity athletic team, you must be a current, full-time student at WMU.

• Physical form
• Insurance form
• Copy of insurance card
• Sickle cell test results
• Copy of class schedule

Tryout
Date: Monday September 11, 2017
Time: 6:00p.m.
Location: Fran Ebert Field (Stadium Dr. & Oliver)
A physical, sickle cell test, and insurance paperwork must be completed to attend the tryout session and can be downloaded above. Sickle Cell forms can be picked up in the Athletic Training Room on the second floor of the Seelye Athletic Center. A copy of the results should be turned in with physical and proof of insurance. Physicals and sickle cell test may be done on campus at the Sindecuse Center or by a family physician. *Please note, appointments are needed for physicals at the Sindecuse Center, contact: (269) 387-3290. Physicals must have been performed in the last six months
