KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan University and Michigan State have announced a contract for Western Michigan to play a football game in Lansing on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019. WMU will receive $1 million from MSU to play the Spartans.
 
The game in 2019 will mark the second time in three years the Broncos will visit East Lansing. Western Michigan plays Michigan State in Week 2 this year on Sept. 9. WMU and Michigan State have played every other year since 2013 with MSU opening the 2015 season at Waldo Stadium.
 
Overall the 2019 game will mark the 17^th meeting between the two schools. Michigan State comes into this year's meeting with the series advantage of 13-2.
 
The kickoff time and broadcast details of the game will be announced in the summer of 2019.
