KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Following a long break, the Western Michigan men's tennis team will host Binghamton on Monday, April 10 in a Mid-American Conference (MAC) match beginning at 1:30 p.m. The Broncos are hopeful the match will be at Sorensen Courts, but will head to West Hills Athletic Club if weather is an issue.

The Broncos enter at 11-7 overall and 2-1 in the MAC after suffering their first loss of the conference season last time out against Buffalo. The Bearcats, who handed the Broncos their lone MAC loss last season, enter at 5-12 overall, 0-2 in the MAC and have lost seven of their last eight.
The Broncos now have two teams in the ITA Tennis doubles rankings, as the duo of senior Matt Hamilton/freshman Jannik Opitz made their debut at No. 57 and are 5-0 together this season. Also in the rankings is the team of Daniel Loebel/Kennosuke Nouchi at No. 88; they hold a 10-7 record together.
In singles play, three players have hit the 20-win mark in Opitz (23-8), Nouchi (21-7) and Eric Olivarez (20-7). Hamilton is 19-8 overall and a team-best 13-4 in dual match season. He's also one win away from hitting 100 for his career at WMU. Nouchi comes in at 3-0 in the MAC and has won nine straight matches.
Following the midweek match with the Bearcats, WMU has two straight away matches, first heading to Ball State on Friday, April 14 at 1 p.m. and then taking on Northern Illinois on Sunday, April 16 at 11 a.m.
