BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Western Michigan women's tennis closed out its regular season with a tough 4-3 comeback win over Bowling Green on the road Sunday afternoon. The Broncos will enter next weekend's Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament at Ball State with an overall record of 10-12 and a MAC record of 4-4.

WMU locked up the No. 6 seed in next weekend's conference tournament and will face the No. 3 seeded Buffalo Bulls on Friday, April 28 at 2 p.m., a team the Broncos beat 4-3 earlier this season.
Bowling Green, who is forced to play with just five players, took the doubles point to open things up Sunday afternoon, earning wins at No. 1 and No. 2 while WMU won by forfeit at No. 3.
With the Falcons up 1-0 to start singles, WMU quickly made it 1-1 with a forfeit at No. 6. Bowling Green earned a win at No. 1, taking a 2-1 advantage but the middle of the Bronco lineup came up clutch, earning three straight wins to clinch the win. Senior Barbare Eristavi won her seventh straight match with a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 3, Katja Fevralev won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4 and senior Tracy Kuhle clinched it with a tough 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 win at No. 2. Eristavi moved to a team-best 7-1 in MAC play while Kuhle improved to 5-3 in the league.
The Broncos will head to the six-team MAC Women's Tennis Tournament next weekend, hosted by Ball State. The tournament starts with No. 4 vs. No. 5 followed by No. 3 vs. No. 6 on Friday. No. 1 and No. 2 have first round byes.
