YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team finished up a perfect weekend with a 4-3 win over Mid-American Conference (MAC) foe Eastern Michigan Sunday afternoon, bringing the Broncos conference record to 2-2.

The Eagles came out and won the first doubles match at No. 2, but the Broncos stormed back, winning at No. 1 and No. 3 to claim the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead. Tracy Kuhle/Melina Lyubomirova earned their team-leading 10th win of the season with a 6-2 win at No. 1 and Barbare Eristavi/Katja Fevralev got their second win of the weekend at No. 3, clinching the point with a 6-3 win.
In singles, WMU won the first two matches off the board to take a 3-0 lead. Eristavi improved to 21-7 and won her third straight match with a win at No. 6 and Kuhle followed that with a dominating 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4, same scores as Eristavi. After EMU won at No. 1, Denise Azcui clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 5, improving her record to 18-11 this season.
The Broncos return home for two straight home matches next weekend, first hosting Buffalo on Friday, April 7 at 1 p.m. and then welcoming in Akron on Sunday, April 9 at 1 p.m.
