KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The National Collegiate Hockey Conference has released the conference schedule for the 2017-18 season.
Western Michigan hosts Denver, Omaha, Miami, Colorado College, St. Cloud State and Minnesota-Duluth. The Broncos do not make the return trip to the Pioneers and only play North Dakota on the road next season.
The Broncos open up conference play against the defending National Champions on Nov. 3-4, before heading on the road to take on the runners up Minnesota-Duluth. WMU welcomes the Mavericks on Nov. 17-18 and then close out the home portion of 2017 NCHC play against the RedHawks on Dec. 8-9.
After a trip to take on the Huskies, Western Michigan returns home to host the Tigers on Jan. 19-20. After two weeks on the road at Omaha and Miami, WMU gets its own two-week homestand against St. Cloud on Feb. 16-17 and then the Bulldogs on Feb. 23-24. The Broncos close out conference play on the road at Colorado College on March 2-3.
