"We are very excited to have Lenhard transferring to Western Michigan University and joining our tennis program in '2017-'18," head coach Dave Morin said. "He's had two years of Division-I experience playing tennis at USC Upstate, and has beaten several quality players with Universal Tennis Rating's higher than 13.  With his size, athletic ability and passion for tennis I believe he will make an immediate impact on our program, and having two years of D-I tennis experience is a real plus as well."

Haupt, a native of Mainz, Germany, went 7-13 in singles play as a freshman to go along with a 4-10 record in doubles. This season, Haupt is 7-12 in singles for the Spartans, who hold a 5-15 record as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
